Keley John Boothe was born in Gloucester County, Virginia on June 4, 1908.
He was called Home on Saturday, December 21, 1991 at Walter Reed Convalescent Center in Gloucester. He was the third
oldest of nine children born to the wedlock of Joseph and Sarah Jackson Boothe.
Keley attended Purton Public School and at an early age became a member of Bethel Baptist Church through his belief in
Chirst and baptism.
As a young adult, Keley moved to New York with his wife, Rena Shackleford Boothe where he worked and raised his family
of five children. After many years of service at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, he retired and returned
to Gloucester County. He became a devoted member of Bethel's Deacon Board, Men's Choir, and an active member of the
Gloucester Deacon Union.
